Cat Soave and Michael Brennan return to the URY airwaves after over three years apart for more top tunes, top features and, of course, top chat.
The chaotic, yet whimsical duo Yakov and Joe find themselves back on the airwaves, having not been cancelled by Ofcom (yet). Cultivated with the upmost care, the tunes will funk the funk out of you, and the chat is deplorable, yet delightful. Guests, games and glorious little natters will ensue. University Radio York's flagship Sunday morning show. (for a small amount of time)
I played some quiet jazzy songs.
But I got bored of the idea when I realised that having the Sunday morning slot wasn't very impressive even if it was quite funny.
And also I was half awake.
Very nice life experience being forced to talk into a microphone in an empty room :)
I should probably listen back to these to make sure these audio clips don't cancel me but... for the most part, I trust that my that my younger self wouldn't get cancelled.

Fion and Yakov are competing to be the best student cook at URY. Since you can't see what they're making, we've decided to blindfold the judges too. Radio isn't the most visual medium, so we plan on making you use your imagination to picture the chaos of this slightly messy Halifax College kitchen. You can keep doing whatever else you were planning on doing today, and we'll paint a picture with our sounds.
I didn't want to do another 2 hour show by myself again because my music taste isn’t massive enough to warrant picking that many songs without the show accidently turning into a specialist music show that i am really bad at presenting since I don't know anything about the songs. Also now I can at least have an idea about what will be spoken about without forcing a funky fresh freestyle (hit me with a beat however and I will drop some heat). Perhaps a producion of some techy edits in this show could occur as well as actually attempting to have a rough plan beforehand. This particular University Radio York broadcasted show could go well or it could crash and burn miserably but i hope it will be the former. If you are listening by miraulous chance- due to the fact that this student ran radio station with full AM, FM and Online capabilities doesn't get as many listeners as Capital FM with regular advertisement for car insurance- then i hope you enjoy! Also a few tangents might happen!
