Joe and Rocco's Radio Pie
A series of comedy sketches and great music fresh out the radio oven. No 'half baked' ideas here, we won't fail to 'surpies' you, and other such pie based puns...
New Generation Society
The New Generation Society (NGS) is a non-partisan group promoting a new form of political dialogue, outside conventional party politics. We believe that it is the responsibility of our generation, those who are students or young adults today, to stand up and face the problems of tomorrow. We want to reconnect our generation with politics, and encourage new ideas on the issues that we will shortly be responsible for tackling.
Six degrees of...
Based on the idea that everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth, the aim of this show is to apply this to music, bringing you varying genres of music where each song has some connection to the song before e.g. featured a member of, toured with, married a member of, on the same record label as, wrote a song about etc.
Six Degrees of....
This show works off the idea that "every person in the world is within sex degrees of separation from any other person" but applies it to music. The aim of the show is to provide a variation of different music spanning different genres but still finding a link from one song to the next i.e. this band toured with, has a member who featured in one of the songs of, has the same record label as, appeared in the same soundtrack for a film as, has a member who is married to a member of....etc.
Tastes Like Burnt Yoghurt (Week 1)
Fun filled frolics with Laura Cress and Chris Hogg - may contain surreal ideas and spasmodic moments of hilarity.
The DAndy Lie-In
Utterly unecessary yet brilliantly bizarre - the 'Late Breakfast' returns. We've accepted that we're never going to make prime time, but we'll be damned if it'll bring us down! The Late Breakfast is a mixture of killer tunes (when we figure out how to play them) with cutting-edge dialogue to match. We like to think we're funny, but we're fully prepared to accept we're not. Packed full of wacky guests and pointless featurettes, there is no stone we leave unturned, no bird un...stoned and, well you get the idea. Bottom line - we're fun, eclectic with a serious love of all kinds of music thrown in! If that isn't enough, we have our very own Leprechaun - beat that.
The Will Wade Show
A Breakfast Show with talking and music... where do I get my ideas from?

Untitled

This show has no name, no theme, and no specific genre of music attached to it.

The idea is the intermingling of music, with a variety of guests every week that have excellent music taste.

We want to play you music.

Welcome to our House

A relaxed show ideal for a chilled out pre's, mainly about the music with a tendency to play house music. Tune in give a request and enjoy.

Topic

Topic is an exotic fusion of Big Ideas, most directly from their owners, and modern electronic music. We'll be chatting about whether we can replace liberty with security, whether we're alone in the universe, and what, if anything, is the nature of the soul, interspersed with some brilliant new artists representing a complete spectrum of modern music, from EDM to singer-songwriter pop. It's a great mix of light hearts and big brains, we hope you can join us!

Tweedle Dum, De and Me

Show comprising 3 final year undergraduates taking a look at that inevitable question of 'what next?'... through the medium of entertainment. Alongside a special guest each week (we'll sort these- people with varying weird and wonderful things lined up for them after uni), we'll look to sift through one more potential life choice every week as we count down towards the end of university. The planned format of the show will look to include an interview with our special guest as they join us for a whole host of potential silly features including:

- Helen and Judy's travelling tips. Being seasoned travellers of Asia, the pair will reveal another wacky story from their travelling experiences each week.
- 'Fit it in my Fro' - special guest will look to fit a different object each week into Joe's afro. Feature will also include leaderboard based on nature of object chosen and how many they managed to fit in his hair.
- 'Joe's chimes' or a title to that effect. Comic song, recorded specially for the show every week, written by Joe on a subject messaged in to the show/something to do with the idea of 'what's next?'
- Interview with our special guest on what his/her plan is for next year and/or what they are currently doing having now graduated. Many exciting people lined up!
- 'Decipher Judy/Helen' or title to that effect- feature involving Joe/listeners attempting to guess certain scottish accented words in English or Gaelic.

Show's music will probably be around 6 songs and will be a competition between Joe, Helen and Judy (2 songs each) on who has picked the best music for that day. Potentially based around the 'what next' theme for that show!

In a nutshell, light-hearted entertainment show looking at the serious question of 'what's next?'. Aimed then at current final years but also applicable for all years. Will also look to have jingle for the show- playing on idea of 'tweedle Dum' (Helen/Judy), tweedle De (Helen/Judy) and Me (Joe).

Fishtail: tales of sounds and words

A series of four specials exploring the relationship between sounds and words and other forms of art. Each week, we will be discussing the connections between different pieces of work with a series of special guests. We'll be featuring great and innovative music, writing and art written by our favourite established artists and york students.

The idea of fishtail comes from Ouroboros, which is the image of a fish or reptile biting its own tail. It signifies something that is constantly recreating itself, something that pre-existed and is so powerful that it must continue. Of course, it also comes from the notion of a fisherman's tale. In our programme, we're going to be 'biting our tales' and circulating from one art form to the next.

PopRocks

Join Charlotte and Josie for a show that keeps you on your toes, mixing the genres Pop and Rock. Mixing drinks is a bad idea but we've heard different when it comes to music.

Sick Tunes

I know that my idea of sick tunes will be different to your sick tunes. So why don't we educate each other?! Get in touch and request some 00s and 90s hits, or some more recent tracks, to perk up everyone's weekend!

Bringing back some classic songs that are too cheesy to be forgotten. Tune in for some great chat and nostalgia with Clark Brydon each week.

Cheesoid

Possibly insightful and entertaining conversation with possibly listenable music from Rosemary and George. We realised we had no social lives to speak of and thought radio would be a fun idea because at least we can hide in a confined room for an hour that isn't one of our own bedrooms.

In order too justify the vast expense of time, effort, and finances I have invested on my long range wifi antenna. I'm going to be doing a series of random outside broadcasts from locations in the middle of nowhere. Depending on how well I set up my kit, there may even be music and live interviews over skype/my mobile. Feel free too enable my eccentricities by listening.
