Have fun with the comedy of Jamie and Oli. An hour packed with observations, jokes, anecdotes, music & quizzes.
Backslash
Music, cookies, dishwasher, Ireland and other random words hopefully stringing together to make a sentence. Maybe it's a spin-off from the DAndy Lie-in because Andrew never let me press any buttons... who knows? Eventually I'll find out but hoping to have lots of guests on some you'll know and some you wont. At times I think I mightn't know either but hopefully it'll be humorous enough to merit a show.

Summer of Love live from The Courtyard

Roses are red violets are blue University Radio York has got a plate of loving just for you!

Join ((URY)) outside The Courtyard, as we present Summer of Love 2013. With live acoustic sets, hopefully some sun, and plenty of Pimms, we're going to get all loved up. We'll be talking about everything from mind, body, and spirit, to STIs, and what you can do if you're worried about anything of that nature. Our live coverage starts at Midday, at ury.org.uk

Featuring sets from Alice O,  Zac Pajak and chessey chalk on demand. Guests including head of welfare Bob Hughes!

Big Cheese on Campus

The music equivalent of a shot at Willow, this show revels in the music which is so bad that it's kind of good. Rather than gently getting you through Monday, I instead will attempt to get you singing along to songs you hoped you'd forgotten the words to. Perfect for not doing work to, Monday evenings will never be the same again. DISCLAIMER: Monday nights will probably be the same as every other Monday as the presenter has no control over the days or weather or any cool powers like that (even though he thinks he does). The Presenter takes no liability for any injuries caused by people suddenly dancing to any of the tunes played or the insult that this show is to good music. Terms, conditions and yolo applies.

URY:PM - Roku Radio
Tune in to Roku Radio, the home of bad links, dubious song choices and an award winning jingle! (Not that we're milking that) Self proclaimed as "perfectly adequate" and "definitely not the worst radio in existence" strap yourself in for two hours of mixed genre music, interesting guests, fun features and a lot of laughs. Join Naomi, Kat and Will Batch for another season filled with all the usual madness, and hopefully fewer radio disasters.

Acoustics

Acoustics is back!

A comedic (hopefully) and disastrous (definitely) student radio show, created in the midst of exam season to let out some steam with live acoustic sessions from upcoming artists and curious questions leading to impossible debates.

Open The Pit

Open The Pit: Hardcore music for hardcore people! + a tad of chill and acoustic when the time is right!

Goodbye Term One

Its almost Christmas so expect a few cheesy Christmas songs appearing, but also some band music from The Courtneers and Artic Monkeys along with a few old classics. I will be talking about the good and bad things which have occured throughout term one (mainly good!), the highlights and lowlights, and also what people are looking forward to next term! (More nights out, drinking and hopefully some sun shine towards the end). Possible interview from two friends hearing their favourite parts of term one and hearing about if they have learnt anything this term which they will not be doing next term.. spending all your loan in the first few weeks for instance.

Topic

Topic is an exotic fusion of Big Ideas, most directly from their owners, and modern electronic music. We'll be chatting about whether we can replace liberty with security, whether we're alone in the universe, and what, if anything, is the nature of the soul, interspersed with some brilliant new artists representing a complete spectrum of modern music, from EDM to singer-songwriter pop. It's a great mix of light hearts and big brains, we hope you can join us!

URY:PM - The "What is the character limit for these show names anyhow? Is there one? Perhaps there should be one? I mean, this one is really stretching out the schedule table. And still it continues. Surely nobody will ever need a show name to be this long?" Show, the Absolute Last No-More-After-This Complete and Utter Final Show of All Time (Perhaps?!?!) of Eiron Page (with Naomi Gildert, Who - We Hope - Has Many More Shows to Come)

We break the schedule layout to bring you one last show from former programme controller Eiron Page, and pass the baton by way of radio to the new programme controller - Naomi - and also play some music, ostensibly chosen by you. The PM show Eiron always meant to do, but never did; because leaving things to the last minute is how he do.

*** The only show on URY to double as a bug report!™

URY:PM - Light Refreshment

Back a whole two hours later than before! Hopefully Alex will actually wake up on time for this now it's not at 9am and Joe will get out of his lecture quickly and they'll both do a decent job.

Brad and Liam's Musical Emporium

Bradley and Liam maestro a magical menagery of musical musings. Each week we'll put together a musical selection around a theme, and hopefully bring a few friends along to lend a helping hand.
