Every week, Matt and Ollie trawl through the lives of some of music's greatest recording artists, both new and old, to find out what makes them tick. The writers of the classic guitar riff, the delicate jazz piano, or the catchy pop chorus gain new life as you rediscover them with the guys.

The Williams and Wong Show

A topical comic talkshow in which we discuss our campus encounters and other funny stories interspersed with the occasional song of our choice relevant to that which we discuss. Similar to the Ricky Gervais show and Richard Herring's 'As It Occurs to Me'. Genre: we're still trying to figure it out, although we think it's on for a winner.

It’s too early for Pre-drinking, meaning we’re not nearly ready enough to say the glorious word “prinking” – unless of course, you decide to join us! Stef and Taz, your radio buddies readying you up for Prink O’clock, when you’re getting ready to take out the voddy and leave your dignity at home. Whether you’re Fresher’s like us, or you want to return to ‘Fresher’ days, we will be broadcasting music that takes you down Memory Lane and tracks that psyche you up for one of York’s Best Student Nights!


URY Breakfast: Midweek Sparrow-Fart

Sparrow-Fart: "Very early in the morning!" Join Jay and Steve every week as they get up at sparrowfart purely for your entertainment. With a look at the mornings papers, some form of music and invariably some form of conversation, it's everything you would expect from a breakfast programme and more (or less).


Nuclear Funker

For those hip-shakin', foot-tappin', hard-groovin' residents of York. Our 'preciation of the phat funky beatz, sick tasty licks and the ill nasty hooks gives us all that phamiliar phuzzy pheeling in our knickerbockers. Turn on, tune in and drop out as Soul Patch Rick and Bullet Proof Funk aim to spread thier sweet seed of funky love all about. 'If you don't like my music, you don't have to use it. Super Bowl Sunday XLVIII

Join Harry Whittaker and Eiron Page, two self-professed American Football ignoramuses, as they attempt to make sense of the Super Bowl and offer an insightful play-by-play commentary on the events of the evening. Matt Bramall, who does know about the game, will be on hand to lend guidance and expertise where they are most desperately needed.

URY News Special: River Safety - York's Rising Problem

Since Christmas, 3 people have lost their lives to York's rivers. All of them young. All of them on nights out. All of them affected by alcohol. So how can we tackle the issue? Is enough being done to keep people out of trouble when on a night out in York? Are enough people aware of the dangers the rivers pose? And what do you do if a friend ends up entering the water? Join us for a special programme on river safety in York.
