One theme, one girl and as many songs as we can fit into one hour.
Every week I'll present to you a list of songs that share a common theme. Of course you are more than welcome to make your own suggestions both for themes and songs.
I recently hit 1010 songs on my liked songs. I'm going to clear it up a bit, so let's listen to some on the way.

songs that fit a different theme every week, depending on the specific feeling i want to convey. some themes might include: homesickness, change, the ruins of love, pancakes and syrup, the freedom of singing loudly in the car, yearning, what a teenage summer feels like, self love, anger, and pride. basically i like words and i like songs.
Exactly what it says on the tin.
Not that radio shows come in tins.
But this one does, and it's a three decade old salted pork tin full of what will probably be recent London migrant and soon-to-be-former PhD student Matt Windsor's last ever show on URY before he finally stops being a student. Expect pretty much everything that can be expected from a washed up student radio DJ that was once referred to as URY's answer to Alan Partridge: an hour of awkward gaps between songs, awkward songs between gaps, and attempts to draw a close on 8ish years of somehow repeatedly being scheduled for shows despite having the radio nous of a loofah. Does anyone still use loofahs?
Songs from the late 80s through to the present day that have made it into the public conciousness, but aren't in their own right hits, or a least aren't played regularly nowadays
Join Charlie and friend(s) to countdown the top 10 songs from a random topic
A throwback show where each week a different era is picked e.g 70's and after every 3/4 songs there is a 'modern minute' where a 'modern' song is played that correlates to a song/multiple songs from that era e.g Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson is played in 80's week
Music and humour. A show that aims to play songs you can dance to whilst also providing you with a laugh.
A show with an aim, to play all the best songs that weren't top billing, that were hidden on the other side of the vinyl, on track 2 of the CD and tucked away in the depths of iTunes in a digital age. Come forth and find the best songs you never knew existed, B sides are where artists make their real music, now it's time for you to hear it.
Bread is very underrated - but I think it's great! Join me as I discuss different types of bread and wonder if there are any bread-themed songs on the system.
We ask our guests parents to create a list of 10 songs from 10 artists of their favourite stuff and then review it! Due to parents' eclectic taste, this will usually vary massively across the whole show in which we will talk alongside this about the music and the memories associated for the guest or just memories about the parents, good or bad.
Raiding the URY vinyl archive, digging up scratchy old songs, keeping URY on air that little bit longer
Tom Morello once said that ‘every successful, progressive, radical or revolutionary movement that has ever been seen has had a great soundtrack’. We bring you these soundtracks. Each week we have a different theme and movement, playing the songs that have provided impetus for change and given people a voice.
