Rock, pop and cheese, what more could you possibly wish for? A delightful mix of talking, mutterings, ramblings, on air challenges and interviews with reasonably interesting people. Anything goes really!.
Really Awesomely Rare Entertainment. Indie isnt that indie anymore. Everyone loves Kings Of Leon, Killers and Bloc Party, and these bands get a lot of plays on URY and even on stations like Radio 1. RARE plays quality indie and rock from bands you havent necessarily heard of yet, but really should love.Including interviews with bands and singer songwriters, special acoustic studio sessions, and the wise words of the presenters, whose hilarious ramblings veer from irreverent banter to heavy-handed satire, with just the right amount of sexual tension.
As well as all requests, whatever I fancy whether really bad or incredibly awesome. Also the most pointless and ridiculous features I can think of... and hopefully some guests!.
Everyone has something that they're passionate about, what's your guilty pleasure? It's not necessarily alternative music, it just probably wasn't on Radio 1's top ten last week.
Be it Goth, heavy metal, ska, punk, movie soundtracks, something classical or perhaps even more diverse, (something really bizarre like
mainstream indie?); I intend to wipe the dust of some real gems that the uninformed may have missed. And remind them of the obvious ones they may have forgotten.
