Join Adam Bowers and Hollie Parker for Wall Of Sound, a show featuring a good number of different genres including folk, jazz, house, blues, alt rock, electro-swing, and metal. A bit of talking too.
A mixture of genres brought to you by Adam, Ollie and Nell.
Chilled electronic, hip-hop, acoustic and just about every other genre of music rolled into one hour. I'm Christian and I'll be helping you through that last-minute revision, the 'Monday is approaching' sobbing on the floor or however you're spending your Sunday evening!
It's late at night and verging on being the morning. However you don't feel like going to sleep! Got work to do? Stressed? Bored? Procrastinating? Geniunely have insomnia? Well then this is the show for you! Your hosts Dom Gould and Hector Macduff will attempt to tire you out for an hour with some heavy/ fast paced tracks, with a bit of witty banter in between ;)
It's 8 am, time to get out of bed and into the shower, get dressed, have breakfast and be on your way.
It's hard for everyone to start the day in a good mood, especially after a legendary night out.
Fear no more, I'm here to get you through it !
As the saying goes, everyone gets theirs. University bigwigs, students, and campus in general have finally had enough of Jonny Long and Callum McCulloch.
In the ultimate act of media censorship, the powers that be have created an artificial island in the lake by central hall, and have duly marrooned our two entrepid protagonists upon it.
However, in an age of plummetting league table places, a disaffected student body, and general lack of extraordinarily funny people, the boys have been given a radio show to pass their time in exile, and also the option of recruiting one more person for their wiley band of vagabonds.
Therefore, they will be holding tryouts, live on air. There will be challenges, we will critique the songs you wish to bring with you, your luxury item better be on our list of things we need.
It's going to be sort of like The Apprentice, Only Connect, The X Factor, Raven, and a certain BBC Radio 4 radio show (that we can't remember the name of) all rolled into one.
The critics have called it a gamechanger, our mother's have called it a 2:2 waiting to happen.
All we know is that it's going to pop off in a big way.
It's dogs doing a student radio show.

After a resoundingly unsuccessful round of interviews last term, the search continues. Expect such radio classics as Stevie Wonder's 5-a-day, Identity Theft, the unforgettable Mum-DMC and plenty more.
And if for some reason you miss the show, you can watch video highlights which will be posted on our Facebook page.
Rumour has it this is the best show URY has ever seen, and we would know, we started those rumours.
A blend of Vancouver based indie pop/rock and as well as music from neighboring Pacific Northwest cities Seattle and Portland, combined with some chat's, history of the area and laughs.
Join the Mid-week Catchup's Jack Rewcroft and Charlotte Doble as they go through their favourite love songs to make your valentines, however your spending it, one that is accomponied by amazing music with the theme of love from Elvis to Noah and the Whale!
The show will consist of an overview of the major sporting events of the week, followed by an intense discussion concerning the major talking points and controversies of the week. The show will focus primarily on football, however, other sports will also be discussed.
It's early, I'm probably knackered from work, and now it's time to do a music. However, due to popular demand by people who are never going to listen, this music must be.... modern.... .... The horror is real. Join me for another hour of fake enthusiasm, rants about things I find on twitter and occasional thoughts about whether I should order in Pizza.
It's mostly for my sake.
It's a show where I play quite literally any and every chaotic track I can think of. If you were expecting some kind of metric or order, then I'd stop reading now. However, if a snazzy mix of alternative tracks from all over the music-sphere is your kinda vibe, then tune on in.
Some ancient relics are just waiting to be dug up, their beauty and cultural value just begging to be displayed and dissected once again. Some however should probably stay buried. Join Professor Flora and friends as they dust off some long forgotten songs, and decide whether to enshrine them in their Musical Museum or lock them away in the vaults forever.
Max… is a man. Dylan… is also a man. They are interested in subjects, many subjects. Come listen to their discussion of subjects they’re pretty cool (I am your conscience, this will be good for you).

Law
Politics
Philosophy
Economics
Geography
Sports
Pop culture

Lions
Seagulls
Pizza
Grass
However, we will not, under any circumstances, be discussing Roger! Do not ask me why!
Join URY's biggest 1970s fan with this deep-dive into some of the best singles of the 1970s. Each week we will look at a specific year from the 1970s, playing some of the biggest hits along with personal picks. However, be warned, this show is not for the feint of heart, it may contain some historical content, long rants about niche artists and far too much Elvis Presley (if thats even a thing?)!
I didn't want to do another 2 hour show by myself again because my music taste isn’t massive enough to warrant picking that many songs without the show accidently turning into a specialist music show that i am really bad at presenting since I don't know anything about the songs. Also now I can at least have an idea about what will be spoken about without forcing a funky fresh freestyle (hit me with a beat however and I will drop some heat). Perhaps a producion of some techy edits in this show could occur as well as actually attempting to have a rough plan beforehand. This particular University Radio York broadcasted show could go well or it could crash and burn miserably but i hope it will be the former. If you are listening by miraulous chance- due to the fact that this student ran radio station with full AM, FM and Online capabilities doesn't get as many listeners as Capital FM with regular advertisement for car insurance- then i hope you enjoy! Also a few tangents might happen!
Big Love,
Papa Yakov
tl;dr Yakov’s end of second year sunday show- this time an hour but still right before Harry Austin’s Sarcasm And Songs.
