'Creditors' by August Strindberg
The last production of the URY Festival of Drama from the national award winning drama team at University Radio York. Anxiously awaiting the return of his new wife, Adolph finds solace in the words of a stranger. But comfort soon turns to destruction as old wounds are opened, insecurities are laid bare and former debts are settled. Regarded as Strindberg's most mature work, "Creditors" is a darkly comic tale of obsession, honour and revenge. David Greig's version premiered at the Donmar Warehouse, London, in September 2008 and now comes to URY with an incredible student cast directed by Lewis Gray. The production, starring Georgia Bird, Ryan Lane and Dan Wood will be in the third week of the URY Festival of Radio Drama!
The Graveyard
A shot in the dark. Riffing (very loosely) on a different topic each week, perhaps something in the news, perhaps something more random, I'll be playing anything and everything from the last few thousand years of music (give or take)... I might even say a few words as well if you're lucky.

ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH?

URY and Litsoc present a frightening live horror event happening right here on York Uni campus this Halloween.

Taking place in complete darkness in the very creepy location of Heslington Hall, we dare you to listen to 3 originally written and produced horror stories.

It is a FREE event, no tickets needed, just a lot of nerve. All the scares and screams will be broadcast LIVE on URY as well at 6-7pm this Halloween.

So if you think you can last the hour in pitch black darkness we challenge you to come and be part of a special one-off URY event.

Good luck, we'll be waiting...

URY Music: about:blank

The blue light of a phone in the dark
A shaggy dog story
Coming in from the cold for a second
A debate between dreams
Drinking a bottle of god knows what
A long and gleaming ribbon
with a ticket sewn on
Or a small ugly fly
with big pretty eyes
