variety music show where I take requests and try to play something a little different
A carefully curated selection of broadly "alternative" (whatever that means) tunes from the classic to the eclectic, with a special nod of fondness to the arty and pretentious. Yes, "classic alternative" is kind of a contradiction in terms, but here at Speed of Life, we embrace paradox to the point of meaninglessness. Occasional themed weeks provide welcome respite from the usual swirl of chaos.
Join Sophie and James for a special late night Transmission. Back in our original slot, we will be telling tales of musical history and playing hosts of classic tracks. Potential themes for each show are the stories of iconic bands, musicians or albums, the evolution of genres and record labels.
We do what we like.
Can't sleep? Neither can we, so we've got a story for you that'll have you nodding of in seconds! It's amazing, even our campus renowned program controller Naomi certainly thinks so... "yeah, whatever. Everyone will be asleep anyway"

Featuring Predic-A-Manger, The York Pork Fork Talk Walk Spork Game and a lot of music that nobody has played on the station for about five years, Dave Tracz will be doing the news. I'll get a text from my mother telling me to slow down, it'll be fine whatever I am saying.
Please listen. It'll be fine.
