A Vinyl-Only music show, filled with tracks from our personal collections and what we find crate-digging in the UoY vaults, with possible attempts at wit between songs.
A smooth selection of electronic music without specific boundaries, loads of different stuff selected from old and new releases presented with a slight Italian accent.
Join Will and Anna for more of those block rockin beats.
Each week I will play a random selection of music taken from my record collection that has been sourced from shops all over Europe. Styles will vary including live dj mixes with an eclectic feel to simply playing tracks one after another. Anything could happen.
There is no agenda to this show. Being a lottery you could hear absolutely anything and it could be either very good or a complete SHAMBLES... come and take the eclectic risk with me to discover music like you may not (or may) have heard before.
Five weeks out of ten, I present this show on Wednesday. Thus spawned the title of this programme. The word 'Maraud' means to loot. In this case, we maraud for ears!
Marauding through the URY Vaults and his own personal collection, Elliott Ball brings you an all vinyl show of varied music.
The show invites members of academic staff to discuss everything between their speciality to favourite tea! Guests will also get the opportunity to choose records that they listened to when they were students and participate in quizzes on their own subject as well as ones they may not be so familar with...
Welcome to the official podcast of The Strokes on student radio stations across the country! Supported by the Student Radio Association and Sony Columbia Records!

What is sampling ?
Presented by Sacha Lewis
Is it copying or upcycling? In this show I will explore seemingly unconnected genres of music and connecting them via their shared use of a sample.
Bridging gaps between style and time, the sample can be a unified platform from which artists can depart from and make it their own.
Uncovering the origins of songs and delving deeper into song's inspiration, it gives the music a whole other dimension to appreciate it.
