After over a year off the airwaves, Stephen Stevo Clarke is returning for an hour, where he'll do his best not to break everything and take the station of air! There'll be some other people there too probably.
Real talk; talking about anything and everything
Exactly what it says on the tin.
Not that radio shows come in tins.
But this one does, and it's a three decade old salted pork tin full of what will probably be recent London migrant and soon-to-be-former PhD student Matt Windsor's last ever show on URY before he finally stops being a student. Expect pretty much everything that can be expected from a washed up student radio DJ that was once referred to as URY's answer to Alan Partridge: an hour of awkward gaps between songs, awkward songs between gaps, and attempts to draw a close on 8ish years of somehow repeatedly being scheduled for shows despite having the radio nous of a loofah. Does anyone still use loofahs?
Kaiju Box Office is URY's premiere Tokusatsu show, covering everything from news to music. Join Charlotte and Dan as they talk about the world's favourite special effects genre.
Sparrow-Fart: "Very early in the morning!" Join Jay and Steve every week as they get up at sparrowfart purely for your entertainment. With a look at the mornings papers, some form of music and invariably some form of conversation, it's everything you would expect from a breakfast programme and more (or less).
Roses are red violets are blue University Radio York has got a plate of loving just for you!
Join ((URY)) outside The Courtyard, as we present Summer of Love 2013. With live acoustic sets, hopefully some sun, and plenty of Pimms, we're going to get all loved up. We'll be talking about everything from mind, body, and spirit, to STIs, and what you can do if you're worried about anything of that nature. Our live coverage starts at Midday, at ury.org.uk
Featuring sets from Alice O, Zac Pajak and chessey chalk on demand. Guests including head of welfare Bob Hughes!
Join James & Adam for an exploration of a different genre each week: listening to everything from Christmas Pop to EDM with plenty of chat in between
Mix and matched tracks that I've been enjoying this week plus a few choice requests and shout-outs.
Send your request to me directly and I'll play them on the next show.
The show invites members of academic staff to discuss everything between their speciality to favourite tea! Guests will also get the opportunity to choose records that they listened to when they were students and participate in quizzes on their own subject as well as ones they may not be so familar with...
The home of Reggae on ((URY)).
(Pronounced "directory Bandcamp") D:\Bandcamp>dir is a show all about the weird and wonderful world of self-releasing musicians and tiny bedroom labels found on Bandcamp. Join Night Call and 8-Bit and Beyond host Bernie, as he sticks his arm into the petri dish known as online music culture. Everything from vaporwave, to future funk, to trip hop, to doom jazz, to whatever you can think of really.
Everything that's hip-hop 'n' happenin'. Except not just hip-hop and also probably not happenin'. Music of the 'alternative' variety.
A tribute to musicians and artists spanning enough variety to legally broadcast, picking the best of everything they've been a part of
Music and conversation with Bethany and Patrick. We can talk about anything and everything because Why not?
Do you enjoy everything nerdy, yeah me neither... I mean I love it! Tune in to get a small taste of the life of this computer science student, who definitely isn't helping the stereotype with this show.
