When North meets South, when two brains are worse than one, when laughter is the only medicine, what do you get? The show thats stuffed with love, the odd slice of advice and an occassional Irish jig strummed in between...Yes, you guessed it... O'Sullivan and Mawn: shine bright like a diamond.
Have you ever wondered why Greeks like saying “opa” all the time, or why do Italians like coffee so much? This show will be smashing or establishing sterotypes from all over the world. It will feature international guests, who will give a deeper insight on how it really is to live in different countries. More interesting topics will be discussed as well, which will be voted by the listeners. So don't hesitate, give it a listen :D
Kick-start your Sunday as Tom Butler attempts to kick-start his!
With no plan in place whatsoever, expect rambling anecdotes, chart music, a rundown of the week's news and the occasional guest. The only thing guaranteed is coffee.
The Music Team go live from The Courtyard with live music from some great up and coming talent!
Grace and Jollan have always dreamt of opening a coffee shop on a narrow boat but until they finish their degrees and have £70,000 to buy a narrow boat, a radio show will have to do.
Join us each week for awful puns from Jollan, awful music choices from Grace, and probably some vague attempt at radio.
It's Thursday, you're more than halfway through the week! *crowd cheers*
I'm Claudia and mornings aren't my thing, in fact, I SUCK at waking up early. I find that doing things I love like traveling makes rolling out of bed a lot easier. There's a reason waking up at 4am to catch a flight is MILES easier than waking up at 4 am to write an essay. Radio is one of those things, and I love a good happy song to go along with my coffee and start the day off on the right foot. After all, if your morning playlist isn't making you feel like the main character of a film who's about to take over the world...what are you even doing? Let me give you some suggestions, and let's chat about funny and happy things only. We all need more of that, especially around exams.
Join me every Thursday morning for your weekly boost of serotonin. Let's get over yet another early alarm together, shall we? Tune in*, it's time to boss it.
*A nice cup of coffee is strongly recommend but not compulsory.
University Radio York's flagship Sunday morning show. (for a small amount of time)
I played some quiet jazzy songs.
But I got bored of the idea when I realised that having the Sunday morning slot wasn't very impressive even if it was quite funny.
And also I was half awake.
Very nice life experience being forced to talk into a microphone in an empty room :)
I should probably listen back to these to make sure these audio clips don't cancel me but... for the most part, I trust that my that my younger self wouldn't get cancelled.
Feel free to listen back to these shows but I warn you- they're bad.

Let's have that morning coffee and fight off the morning blues together with some great music to get you going! Who knows, maybe you wont skip that lecture you've been secretly planning to miss all week!
