ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH?
URY and Litsoc present a frightening live horror event happening right here on York Uni campus this Halloween.
Taking place in complete darkness in the very creepy location of Heslington Hall, we dare you to listen to 3 originally written and produced horror stories.
It is a FREE event, no tickets needed, just a lot of nerve. All the scares and screams will be broadcast LIVE on URY as well at 6-7pm this Halloween.
So if you think you can last the hour in pitch black darkness we challenge you to come and be part of a special one-off URY event.
Good luck, we'll be waiting...
We look back at the life and work of David Bowie, looking through URY presenters own personal memories, favourite songs and his amazing influence on the world of music today.
Looking from his earliest singles in 1967 all the way to his most recent album Blackstar, we'll dig deep in to our archives and find the best songs Bowie both sang on, produced and wrote.
The Fringe radio show returns, bringing you both new and old tunes from the realm of metal, rock, punk and other alternative music genres! As long as it is loud and heavy, we will play it~
I have never been able to actually say what my favourite genre is. When you look at my phone my music goes all the way from Iron Maiden to Earth, Wind and Fire, from James Bay to Black Eyed Peas. Therfore, id like to make a show that covers all the bases. With songs to get you in the groove, no matter what your style. There will be a song for you.
Join One Black Guy as he goes though the wonderful world of black culture celebrating some of the greatest accomplishments black people have made in comedy, poetry and music. And of course you can get jiggy with this.
Does your dad love reading Amazon reviews? Forum posts about different Black and Decker drills? Well he might love this show! As we delve into the most banal corners of the internet to try and find some hidden meaning to everything. Failing this, we'll at least know the best way to make pancakes. Weekly guests based on no logic at all, no format week to week beyond a theme we will decide in the moment. This will be the best worst thing you've ever listened to.
Join us as we explore the events of the past week, the movement that has been created, and discuss what this means for our community on campus.
In the wilds of Campus West lurks a secret: mor illusive than the black Swan; more prestigious than long boi; more sought after than the Alcuin Cat. The No Eye Deer (not to be confused with the slightly more useful Show Eye Deer) is somewhere, and we're determined to lure it out by singing along to bops and hoping the mics are off whilst we do it!
The Black Access Podcast is now LIVE! Join me, your host Idorenyin Hope, as we talk about all things University! Here you'll get the best insight into what it means to be a Black student in higher education.
