University Radio York's flagship Sunday morning show. (for a small amount of time)
I played some quiet jazzy songs.
But I got bored of the idea when I realised that having the Sunday morning slot wasn't very impressive even if it was quite funny.
And also I was half awake.
Very nice life experience being forced to talk into a microphone in an empty room :)
I should probably listen back to these to make sure these audio clips don't cancel me but... for the most part, I trust that my that my younger self wouldn't get cancelled.

Will you still love us when we're 64? Richard and Kim did their last student URY show in June 1976. This show will be hair raising if they had any left.
A show to turn even the lamest of squares into far-out foot tappers.
Over the course of the show, extreme levels of rockabilly will be pumped through the airwaves of URY, from Elvis Presley to The Big Bopper, all with the intention of providing maximum satisfaction.
The show will consist of anecdotes relating to the music in question, explorations into the popular themes and concepts of rockabilly/rock 'n' roll (such as a show dedicated to 'Death Discs'), as well as interviews with individuals who remember watching the rock 'n' roll stars of the 1950s in their heyday. Playing the big hits of the 1950s, as well as with the secret 7" golddust that's been hiding in the attic, this show will provide a roster of early rock 'n' roll and rockabilly that will make you want to turn your fringe into a quiff, your Volkswagen into a Cadillac, and your Carling into a Cherry Coke.
Sparrow-Fart: "Very early in the morning!" Join Jay and Steve every week as they get up at sparrowfart purely for your entertainment. With a look at the mornings papers, some form of music and invariably some form of conversation, it's everything you would expect from a breakfast programme and more (or less).
As URY turns 50, James Brookes celebrates the last half century of University Radio York. James will count backwards one year at a time playing the biggest hits, discussing the new events and crazes and the important moments in URY history until he reaches 1968 at the end of the summer term.
Sam and the team look back over our last term of radio and discuss how and why it happened with those involved.

In URY, legends are told of the mystical time of 13:50. This time, known to some as Time O'Clock, is a wonderous minute of every day where members of URY past and present come together to appreciate our great station. Join Alex and Michael as we build up to this great time, celebrate appropriately, and then try and think of something to do for the remaining 8 minutes and 45 seconds of the show.
Who says Rock 'N' Roll is dead? Bringing back all of the classics from the 50s - contemporary rocking and rolling style with artists ranging from hip shaking Elvis to moves like Jagger. These awesome beats will have you off you twist n shouting or banging your head as radio rocked the world from the 50s to the current day
Join us for 2 magical hours a week of reporting all absurdity there is. We talk about news that are odd, weird, crazy, or eccentric, but most importanly, interesting and amusing (ooh, dem adjectives and thesaurus eloquence). All this PLUS lots of music! We play everything from good old classics to guilty pleasures, we just go with the flow (and requests!).

We have been invited to celebrate URY’s 50th Anniversary with a blast from the past, where we will meander down memory lane rediscovering all your favourite non-award winning features from Daz and Em's illustrious radio career, including Name that Tone and Back to the Future!
For a very special one-off show, two so-called 'legends' of URY return.
They entertained listeners for literally minutes while on air together during the heady days of 2016/17, so expect plenty of nostalgia and in-jokes that you definitely won't understand.
Nevertheless, it'll be worth a listen, just for an example of how not to move on from university.
They'll bring you some stonking tunes, funny features, and magical memories that will wind the clock back to when URY was just a pre-pubescant 48-year-old.
