If rock is your genre of choice, then look no further. Tuck-in to a plateful of punk and indie bangers served up for your enjoyment, with just a sprinkling whatever I'm most interested in on the day. Together, we can hopefully discover something new each week!
Join William King for an hour of music reflecting on the day just gone.
As well as bringing you hits from the past we keep up-to-date by chatting through recent events from around the world and playing the tracks that we feel fit.
It only comes round once a year, but the music team will be telling your their hot takes and predictions about the Brit Awards and the winners as it goes out live on air. Basically we are just planning on being Jack Whitehall but infinetely less funny. Tune in to arguably the biggest BritPop night of the year <3
Its the end of term, so come along and enjoy while The Man (read as 'Ofcom') tries to (read as 'tells us to') shut us down (read as 'not broadcast outside our allowed period')!
Just a little bit of 80's and some catchy tunes to pick you up in the day.
The double agent himself is back (They just can't get rid of me)! Coming to you live from the Liverpool Guild of Students in a studio kindly loaned out by Liverpool Guild Student Media. They're not on air right now but never let something so trival as technical difficulties™ get in the way of good radio and what better place to go than my old stomping gound at URY.
Tonight show is going to feature a range of tracks from new emerging artists, beloved pop hits and the leading artists in the charts right now.
The end of the uni year is nigh, and as such, so is the end of a few URY Careers. Yes, it's time to get ready to move on from uni and into the real world, while of course staying at a respectful two metre distance. Join us as we reminisce about the last few years, and close off the academic year with a bang! (Hopefully not from Stores...)
Unlike Beyoncé, we make our own content. Join us as we exercise our contractual right to a maximum of 2 Beyoncé songs in an hour, plus as may features as we can find.
It's been far too long since I've done a show here. Let's change that. And in true URY style, let's not give any thought to its concept. No plan, no script, just content.
Another thing associated with the North - apart from the rain - is Northern Soul music, a scene that keeps on burning. An hour of pure soul, Motown, maybe a bit of Ska if we're feeling adventorous. An introduction to the scene beyond the odd Stevie Wonder track you've heard in the car, so put your pen down on this hazy Sunday and just enjoy. The revival is more alive than ever - Keep the Faith.
It's that time of the year again - there'll be one stall giving out bags for some reason, so make sure you grab the bag for all the other random freebies you get from stalls you pretend to be interested in just to get the pens.
Freshers' Fair 2021 is nearly upon us - join me as we build up to it with some great music and chat!
Songs from the late 80s through to the present day that have made it into the public conciousness, but aren't in their own right hits, or a least aren't played regularly nowadays
this is just a tribute
Music and chat show presented by Ali Woods!
Featuring special guests, features and funnies.
Welcome to Friday afternoon, where I'll be playing you some stuff that I've been listening to, or just felt like as the week comes towards an end.
Back for one last hurrah (he's said that before) The Nic Munday Show is back again. Tune in for two hours of fun-filled features, great tunes and just a bit of a laugh. Featuring the old favourite, Film Review Time.
Once again URY is across campus for all of freshers week, giving anyone new to York a HUGE WELCOME. There will be games, the latest and greatest tunes, competitions and of course PRIZES! But don't just listen On Air, Online or On Tap... Head over to each of our daily broadcasts to get involved in the full 4D experience
We ask our guests parents to create a list of 10 songs from 10 artists of their favourite stuff and then review it! Due to parents' eclectic taste, this will usually vary massively across the whole show in which we will talk alongside this about the music and the memories associated for the guest or just memories about the parents, good or bad.
Literally just talking about beans for an hour. I have no idea why you'd listen to this.
Mmm, beans.
Roses are red violets are blue University Radio York has got a plate of loving just for you!
Join ((URY)) outside The Courtyard, as we present Summer of Love 2013. With live acoustic sets, hopefully some sun, and plenty of Pimms, we're going to get all loved up. We'll be talking about everything from mind, body, and spirit, to STIs, and what you can do if you're worried about anything of that nature. Our live coverage starts at Midday, at ury.org.uk
Featuring sets from Alice O, Zac Pajak and chessey chalk on demand. Guests including head of welfare Bob Hughes!
You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there. Lokir: Darn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn't been looking for you, I could've stolen that horse and been half way to Hammerfell. You there. You and me -- we shouldn't be here. It's these Stormcloaks the Empire wants. Ralof: We're all brothers and sisters in binds now, thief. Imperial Soldier: Shut up back there! [Lokir looks at the gagged man.] Lokir: And what's wrong with him? Ralof: Watch your tongue! You're speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King. Lokir: Ulfric? The Jarl of Windhelm? You're the leader of the rebellion. But if they captured you... Oh gods, where are they taking us? Ralof: I don't know where we're going, but Sovngarde awaits. Lokir: No, this can't be happening. This isn't happening. Ralof: Hey, what village are you from, horse thief? Lokir: Why do you care? Ralof: A Nord's last thoughts should be of home. Lokir: Rorikstead. I'm...I'm from Rorikstead. [They approach the village of Helgen. A soldier calls out to the lead wagon.] Imperial Soldier: General Tullius, sir! The headsman is waiting! General Tullius: Good. Let's get this over with. Lokir: Shor, Mara, Dibella, Kynareth, Akatosh. Divines, please help me. Ralof: Look at him, General Tullius the Military Governor. And it looks like the Thalmor are with him. Damn elves. I bet they had something to do with this. This is Helgen. I used to be sweet on a girl from here. Wonder if Vilod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in. Funny...when I was a boy, Imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe. [A man and son watch the prisoners pull into town.] Haming: Who are they, daddy? Where are they going? Torolf: You need to go inside, little cub. Haming: Why? I want to watch the soldiers. Torolf: Inside the house. Now. [The wagon stops near the chopping block.] Imperial Soldier: Whoa. Lokir: Why are they stopping? Ralof: Why do you think? End of the line. also a banging breakfast show.
It's my final day on URY and I just wanna play some vibey FIFA tunes. Hope you enjoy.
