It's zoo animals in Mockbusters this week, and there are four instead of three because . . . well, it fills a bigger gap. Oli is struggling to decide what historic figure would be a good Godfather for his child, but nobody really foots the bill. Oli is spouting some spurious nonsense about Pinocchio which annoys Jamie because he's concerned where the wood would come from. Jamie questions Oli about how the universe came about, and Oli just can't get his little Cheltenham head around it; well, it didn't come easy to Hawking either, but he persevered too, some might say, slightly better. The BBC have relaunched Room 101, so Jamie and Oli decide to have a go. It doesn't go well, leaving them questioning their planned career at the beeb.
The fourth podcast from our un-award winning show. Enjoy!
Jamie and Oli are joined by guest Emily Hall in the studio. Oli's been to Aldi, but still can't say it, and to a shop which sells out of date alcohol while Jamie is on the M&M's. Jamie is glad he didn't apply for an Olympics ticket and ponders the purpose of the new BA advert. Jamie questions whether Oli and Emily would rather be the cleverest cat or the happiest dog. Stupidly, they'd rather be the cat, and Oli gets lost in a digression about a cat who went missing. News To Amuse includes articles on a new Brothel Inspector role and Oli's impressions of Nintendo characters don't go to plan, while Wikipedia fails Jamie. Emily brings everything to a halt with the revelation the show is not funny, before laughing. Jamie has to lie his way out of a knife being found in his pocket in an airport.
