URY Wiki:User Boxes

User boxes (or userboxes) are little uniformly shaped, sized and styled information boxes that can be put on people's user pages to quickly broadcast information about them.

Currently they look hardly anything like Wikipedia's userboxes, but if we don't mind complying to Wikipedia's content licences we could probably use theirs.

What a userbox looks like

This is "Template:Userbox" in its natural habitat.

This userbox needs some content.

Our userboxes currently have three parameters:

• colour, which changes the colour of the outside trim and icon area;
• picture, which changes the left hand side picture (defaults to a URY (( swoosh);
• content, which changes the inner text.

Current userboxes

Userboxes should have names beginning with "User ".

User HeadOfTeam

Has team, start and end parameters.

This URY member was Head of Computing Team from 1989 to 9001.

User Officer

Has position, start and end parameters.

This URY member was Banner Boy from 2011 to 2012.
