OB Checklist

This page aims to provide a comprehensive list of things you should do when planning an Outside Broadcast. I made the first section Period instead of Time so that it's "The 5 'P's of OBs"! Cheesy, amirite?
Something missing? Please add it!
The Period
- Is there another major campus event happening at this time that means there won't be much of an impact? If there is, can we involve it?
- Is the URY Schedule free at this time? Have you contacted presenters to ask if they're okay doing an outside broadcast or rescheduling their show?
- Is there enough time before the event to fill in all of the paperwork, organise people and make arrangements? Try to allow at least 1 Term Week (YUSU technically requires 6).
The Place
- Is the location bookable? Have you booked it? If not, have you spoken to someone relevant about doing the event?
- Is there a power supply available for the location?
- Is there a network connection available for the location?
The People
- Are engineers available to set up and pack down the event?
- Are computing available to set up and pack down the event?
- Are presenters available to present?
- Are your presenters Outside Broadcast trained? Will there at least be one OB trained member and one committee member there at all times?
- Are there reserve presenters available for when the scheduled presenters are inevitable absent?
The Paperwork
- Has an Event Management Form been filled out? Complete this with YUSU wherever possible. Choose a relevant responsible person.
- Has an IT Services (ex 3838) request been submitted for provisioning the network connection (if applicable)?
- Has an Estates (ex 5555) request been submitted for provisioning power (if applicable)?
The Publicity
- Has the URY Schedule been updated to show this event?
- Has the URY Google Calendar been updated to show this event?
- Has the URY Facebook Page advertised this event?
- Has the URY Twitter advertised this event?
- Has the URY Station Email advertised this event?
- Has the location advertised this event (if possible)?
