Studio 1 is the main broadcasting studio of URY. This page goes into more detail about different aspects of the studio for the benefit of engineers and others interested in how the studio fits together and works.

Studio Power

Studio Power is provided in two ways: 'permanent power' and 'non-permanent power'.

Permanent

Everything that is required to be on at all times should be plugged into the permanent power extension cables. These CAN be switched off via the large single switches around the room. The one nearest the door is for timelord, whilst the 2 at the back of the room control everything else.

Non-permanent

As much stuff as possible should be on the ring main which is controlled via the breaker next to the door. This way, equipment has at least a few hours of 'downtime' each day. Studio 1 is on R4, and all switches and sockets on this ring are labelled as such.
