What on earth is this page?

This exists as a record for all the former pages (mostly team-based) that have since been removed. After all, this wikipedia is an archive, and that means we can't get rid of our history!

Also, consider this a shout out to all the former editors of the URYWiki. Your work has not been forgotten!

(Disclaimer: This may not contain every former page, but it hopefully contains most of it.)

Old Events page (team disbanded)

URY isn’t all about standing in front of a microphone or being brilliant at tech. If you are organised, a good team worker and innovative then the events team is the one for you! We are in charge of organising all the events which represent the radio station. This team is a way to get really involved with the society, as there is opportunity to be involved with all the teams, as when planning an event we need to talk to everyone! If you are interested in planning some fantastic events such as music events and coverage of Roses, please email Jack at head.of.events@ury.org.uk

Old Presenting page (team disbanded)

The URY Presenting Team controls the station's programming, provides a wide range of training and acts as a support network for all presenters within URY. The team is led by the Programme Controller, who is responsible for the quality of the station's output. They schedule all the shows on URY, ensure our licenses are being adhered to and that all presenters are following the presenter's contract. The Training Coordinator is also a part of the Presenting Team and they're in charge of all training for members. Every presenter has studio training to learn how to use the studio equipment and we also hold fortnightly training workshops to help you develop your presenting skills as well as developing new skills in interviewing, designing features for your shows, and presenting different types of shows including live events and Outside Broadcasts.
