Stores is, oddly enough, URY's Storage building. It is a small part of the series of sheds that can be found between the Vanbrugh Porters and the main station building, between the gas cupboard and the bike shed.
Trivia
- Estates do not have a key to physically access this building. Management have the relevant credentials to create new keys, not the university.
- The Server Cupboard lives in the back of this room.
- This room contains literally tens of thousands of CDs and Vinyl, some of which are pretty damn hard to come by these days.
- The stores power supply gets upset after a power cut (See Incident Report: 20131201)
- The shelves in stores used for Computing and Engineering storage are on wheels, originally acquired from Computer Science when they migrated from Harry Fairhurst to their new home on Heslington East
- Stores is home to URY's historical documents
