A history themed show, that aimed to contextualise historical events with the music from that year.

It started with the year 1963 (the founding of the university) originally hosted by [[Dee Wright]]. In the 6th episode, focusing on 1968 they were joined by [[Liz Slater]], having met the week earlier at the Fresher's OB. This made the show much better, and moved it away from a historical ramble to entertaining radio. Highlights include discussing of the potential affair between Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.

The show ran from 15/10/2024 to 27/05/2025, and was nominated at the 2025 [[Student Radio Awards]] for Best Entertainment Programming.

The Student Radio Awards is an annual event hosted by the [[Student Radio Association]]. Every year, URY enters itself for several different awards, sometimes winning.

== Trivia ==
* URY's very own [[Coco Cole]] was one of the Voices of the Awards in 2012. A small amount of gratification was to be had when she eventually had to read out URY's Best Technical Achievement submission name.
* In 2013, URY was joint first in Most Nominations with Fly FM, and Most Awarded with Fly FM and URN.
* Harry Whittaker was the first person in living Student Radio Association history that has received 3 nominations in a single year.
* In 2018, the team behind URYspy won three SRAs and were invited to speak at that year's RadioTechCon
* In 2020, URY received its highest number of nominations recorded at the time, and the highest number of wins.
* In 2020, URY won Best Station for the first time in ten years, after being nominated for the first time in eight years.
* In 2025, URY won 12 awards at the SRAs, including 5 Gold awards, beating URY's record and making them the most decorated station at that year's awards.

It's three episodes focused on the 3 constituent nations of Britain (England, Wales and Northern Island). It aimed to act as an introduction to folk, whilst exploring the significant musical elements of the nations, including Welsh and Gaelic language songs, and original field recordings of folk song.

== Who are the Production team? ==

The Production team work with both events and regular programming to develop shows, coordinate special occasions e.g Outside Broadcasts (i.e when we're not broadcasting from the studio), and overall ensure that URY broadcasting is of the highest quality possible. Whilst producers aren't always directly in front of a microphone, they work hard to ensure that those who want to be on air, well, ''can'' be on air and have what they need to do so!

== Why should I join the team? ==

Simply put, this is the team for you if you like being behind the scenes, working to create content that is broadcast to the entire campus. Also, if you like special events, this team is definitely the one for you!

== How can I get involved? ==

Production Meetings occur every Monday at 8pm in V/N/123, right after Station Meetings! Feel free to simply turn up, and share your ideas! If you're a presenter, and - for example - want to pitch a new show to do with someone else, these meetings are the perfect occasion to find fellow enthusiasts!

This can prove disastrous for archivists as they tend to have a habit of being eten by the same bugs that eat their documents. For this reason, URY can have long stints without an archivist as people fear the role and are scared of being replaced.

The role was initially created as the 50th Officer, responsible for creating the 50th anniversary celebration event. After this was over it was decided that alumni contact was still important, and was combined with archives to create the modern role.
